The Titans took on Blair for the first dual meet of the Rio Hondo League season. San Marino won handily over a small Blair team. Individual athlete results by even can be found HERE -- note that especially in the sprints these are hand-timed marks which are generally much faster than fully automatic timing (so hard to tell relative improvements). Early season standouts on the girls side look like Barra, Leftwich and Ruiz. Freshman Keila Barra’s 4’ 9” High Jump mark places her 4th in Rio Hondo thus far in 2016 and would have won Rio Hondo Frosh-Soph in 2015. On the guys side, sophomore Chuma Azinge is a multi-talented standout. His triple jump season best places him at the top of Rio Hondo and within 2” of qualifying for the prestigious Arcadia Invitational. He improved his high jump season best against Blair to 5’ 8”, which is 2nd in RHL, and his 110M Hurdles best leads Rio Hondo as well.
