The Titans held their final dual meet of the Rio Hondo League season at La Canada due to the SMHS field and track refurbishment project. San Marino won the Varsity Girl’s and Men’s as well as the Frosh-Soph Boys’ team competitions. The short distance athletes had a big day, with Matt Ferraco winning the 110H, the 300H and 100 (with an amazing effort to come from behind after a slipped block at the start) and contributing a great 4th leg on the winning 4x100 relay. Chip Crowley also won the 200 and 400 and ran typically strong legs on the relays. Jackie Elliot won the 100 and 200 and also led off the winning 4x100 relay, and Elizabeth O’Neil won the 100H and 300H and had a thrilling last leg to come from behind in the final few meters in the 4x100 relay.
