The Lady Titans earned a trip to CIF-SS Prelims by placing 3rd with 64 points (to South Pas’ 38 and La Canada’s 53). Olivia Ruiz (7th, 19:38) and Puja Balaji (8th, 19:48) paced the Titans. Meg Hannan (14th, 20:40), Karen Lee (15th, 20:59) and Peyton Talt (20th, 22:07) were the remaining scorers. In the JV Girls race, the Titans claimed 4th with 91 points. Frosh Anya Tang was the first San Marino finisher, coming in 8th in a time of 23:47. The Varsity Boys matched their 2017 league finish, coming in 5th as a team with 107 points. Senior Sean Chen was the first Titan across the line, coming in 11th at 17:22. Soph Jonathan Karkafi (18th, 17:55), seniors Josh Rose (24th, 18:19) and Joseph Weber (26th, 18:25), and junior Leighton McBryde (28th, 18:39) were the other Titan scorers. Rankin Repetti was the top Titan in the JV Boys race, placing 18th in 19:42 (the JV Boys didn’t field a full scoring team). The Boys Frosh-Soph team placed 4th with 94 points, led by Jinku Tang’s 9th place finish in 18:41 (the 6th fastest guys time on the day). Soph Tavis Chen was the second Titan finisher (16th, 19:02), with Frosh Aiden Yi close behind (20th, 19:08).
