A group of Titans hit the road for the Monterey Bay Invite in Salinas. Competing against central and northern California teams, there were several top 10 finishes for the Titans. Sophomore Purvaja Balaji won the girls Frosh-Soph race in a time of 20:07. Senior Tom Moffat placed second in the boys JV race, with an 18:06 finish. Sophomore Kai Barra grabbed 10th place in the small-school boys Frosh-Soph race in a time of 19:28, just edging teammate Jonathan Karkafi who had the same 19:28 time but placed 11th. The Frosh-Soph boys team placed 3rd overall in the small-schools race. The Frosh-Soph girls placed 5th in the team scoring. The Titans didn’t have any athletes in the varsity races.
