Master’s University Invitational
September 30, 2017, Masters University (Santa Clarita)

The Titans entered the Master’s University Invite for the first time and standout junior Olivia Ruiz made a statement by winning the Girls’ Varsity race in a time of 19:29.  The girls team placed 6th overall with 151 points against competition from large school divisions.  Other scorers were Meg Hannan (33rd, 22:44), Karen Lee (38th, 23:23), Juliana Judge (39th, 23:30) and Lily Tong (40th, 23:31).  In the JV Girls race, the team placed 4th with 96 points.  The team was led by freshman Clancy Klarr (11th, 24:09) and Nicole Chen (16th, 24:41).

The Varsity Boys placed 6th as a team with 151 points, led by junior Sean Chen’s 11th place finish in a time of 17:41.  Senior Tom Moffat was close behind, finishing at 17:49 in 19th place.  The remaining scorers were Alex Powers (32nd, 18:33), Joseph Weber (41st, 19:12), and Grant Holt (44th, 19:23).  The Titans had 21 guys running in the JV Boys race and placed 3rd overall with 102 points.  Junior Bill Li led the Titans with a 16th place finish in a time of 19:23.  Sophomores Kai Barra (18th, 20:13) and Leighton McBryde (19th, 20:28) were the next two Titan finishers.  Complete results are available in the links below.
