Two Cross Country Yearbooks Needed!

Thanks to a contribution of 6 years worth of XC yearbooks, our collection is almost complete.  However, we are still missing yearbooks from the years 2000 and 2005.  If you can possibly help out by lending me those yearbooks, I would be most grateful.  If you have one or know where I can borrow one, please shoot me an e-mail at

What About Those Music Videos?

Music videos covering full seasons were produced for several seasons in the early 1990s and again for the 2008-2010 seasons.  The obvious problem with posting them on YouTube is that the videos contain copyrighted material and YouTube has algorithms that detect this.  When detected, YouTube may demand that the video be removed and could suspend the entire account.  The 2008-2010 videos are particularly susceptible to that punishment.  Until YouTube and the music industry come up with some way of compensating the artists for the use of the music, I cannot post them on YouTube.

If you can give me anything on your team, I will make it a priority to post it.  Send it to TomGimbel@sbcGlobal.net or just send me a note and I’ll come pick up the material and return it to you within a week.

Jim Henson
2000 - 2003

A former runner in school and a San Marino police officer, Jim Henson stepped in to guide the program after the legendary Phil Ryan retired.  Obviously, that was a tough act to follow.  A bit like Gene Bartow taking over the UCLA basketball program after John Wooden retired.  As an officer, he was assigned to the high school on a full-time basis and saw to it that both teams made CIF in all but his final year, despite persistent injuries.  Pack running was Henson’s focus.
